High Street Vet Surgery is a well-established, small animal purpose-built clinic located on the north side of Rockhampton. The clinic boasts two consultation rooms, a separate dog and cat ward, a theatre, two treatment areas, a pathology laboratory, and a large backyard. We are currently an all women’s team of 15 staff, six veterinarians, seven Veterinary nurses, support staff, and a dedicated receptionist.

The privately-owned practice is equipped with everything needed, including Idexx in-house laboratory suite, ultrasound machine, digital radiography, dental radiographs, two IM3 dental machines, and an endoscope, allowing you to flourish in your environment. Beyond this, we are committed to upgrading instrumentation, ensuring that new developed techniques and practices are available for our patients.

The surgery enjoys a busy caseload, including soft tissue, orthopaedic surgeries, and advanced medical case work-ups. Qualified and experienced veterinary nurses support our veterinarians.

We understand that 80% of our profession are women, including vets, nurses and support staff, and there will be a time point in their life these women may want to go down a different path to start a family. At High Street Veterinary Surgery, we take this as standard and have strategies to support and empower our women to return to practice when ready.
