High Street Vet Puppy Preschool is an excellent starting point for pet owners wanting a well-mannered and socialized puppy.

High Street Vets Puppy Preschool classes are designed to form and strengthen the bonds between puppies, puppy owners and the vet practice in a fun and interactive program, run by qualified veterinary nurses.

The program aims to educate owners on socially responsible ownership, including health care and nutrition and teaches them about normal & abnormal canine behaviors, which develops realistic expectations of their puppy, all while using proven positive reinforcement methods.

Our classes allow the puppies to socialize in a safe and controlled environment and help them accept gentle handling from others. Owners can also benefit from problem-solving issues among the class.

Puppy Preschool FAQs

You can bring one other family member each night, but it is best if only one person does the training each night (the other observe and swap for the next night). If you wish your child to help train your puppy, they need to be over 10 years of age. Consistency is important, and bringing family members to class is a great way to achieve this as they become involved in how the dog is being trained! Please remember, however, that parents are solely responsible for their children.
Puppy Preschool Classes are held at 79 High Street, Berserker. Outside in our secure enclosed backyard. If in the event that, is it is raining, or a trainer is sick, we will postpone the class. In this case, we will text you at least 30 minutes before class to let you know. We will arrange a date for the makeup class for the following week’s class.

Due to the many topics covered in each class, we strongly advise you to try to attend each class. However, if a class has been missed due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact the clinic during the week to book a catch-up class. This is normally arranged for you to arrive 30 minutes before the next class, allowing a one-on-one to catch up on what was missed.

If you need to cancel, please notify High Street Vet Surgery at least five days before your first class. That will allow us to contact anyone on a waiting list to offer your spot.

Once the 4-week course has started, there can be no cancellations and refunds of positions. If you cannot make it after the first week, please let us know due to unforeseen circumstances.

Spots are limited and often fill up really fast! For this reason, refunds are not available once booked.

However, we can review your refund on a case-by-case basis, and can refund on the basis that we can fill your spot.

No refunds are given for missed classes.
